Jeff Holmes After working for ten years in Southern California, Jeff finally came to his senses and moved to Gilroy in early 2007. Marci, his wife and Caleb his son both agree it is the best thing they’ve done in a long time. While in San Diego, Jeff was working as an associate pastor for Mission and Worship working with teams that were passionate to reach their community and help bring God’s Kingdom to a hurting world. In Gilroy, God has connected Jeff and his family to an entire congregation committed to doing the same thing. His years working with families at La Jolla and earning a doctoral degree in youth and family ministries as well as his work with homeless issues, HIV/AIDS in Africa and working with the poor in Mexico have laid a foundation for God’s next step for both he and his family here. The move has also brought opportunities for him to pursue his hobby of cycling as well as many new adventures for his family. George enjoys music, riding waves, a good book, good food and conversation. ![]()
Trevor Van Laar Trevor never thought that he'd work at a church, but God had a different idea. Born in the small farming town of Ripon, CA, life on the almond farm was pretty good. But early on, God had plans of moving Trevor away from there. At the tender age of five, Trevor declared to his church that he was going to be a Pastor and from that point on, his future was set in motion. In 1993 Trevor started working summers at Mount Hermon Christian Camps, which eventually in 2001 turned into a full-time position until he came to GPC in 2008. Trevor has a B.S. in Recreation Administration and in 2010 earned his Masters of Divinity. Trevor is married to his camp love, Cynthia. God has blessed Trevor and Cynthia with four children, Mackenzie, Emma, Wyatt and Noelle. ![]()
