Small Groups

The purpose of our small group ministry is to help people build relationships – with one another and with Jesus Christ. Our small groups are a place to discover your gifts for ministry and use those gifts in serving others; a place where each person is valued and honored, supported and held accountable, and treated with respect.

There's a place for you in our small group ministries. Would you like to be in a support group? Bible study? Affinity group? Ministry group? Here is a sample of the activities we offer:

Support
In the support groups, people gather to offer support and encouragement to one another and get to know each other intimately. This is where we "do life" together. We have groups that grow by joining the existing group and some that grow by creating new groups. We have groups for men, women, singles and couples.

Help in crisis
We have groups that can help you through crisis, such as divorce, dealing with grief, or recovering from addictions.

Bible studies
Are you interested in a Bible study? Several groups meet through the week for in-depth studies.

Affinity groups
These groups revolve around a particular topic or activity. Are you a hiker? Biker? Quilter? Scrapbooker? Young mom? Are you in your retirement years and want to join with others in this stage of life? You will find a group that shares your interest. Would you like to start an affinity group? We can help make it happen.

Ministry Opportunities
We encourage everyone to participate in ministry. Your small group can pick a ministry to participate in, or you can choose a ministry that fits your interest and passion and the ministry itself becomes a small group. Among the many ministry opportunities available are hospitality (hosting the Welcome and Information Table, greeter, usher), reaching out to our guests, singing in the choir, sprucing up the church grounds, doing repairs for the elderly and homebound, working in our Resource Center, helping with set-up on Sunday morning.
